HGV Inverter Lead with Mega Fuse
Our HGV Inverter Lead with Mega Fuse is designed to provide a safe and reliable connection between an HGV tractor unit and an inverter. Manufactured using heavy-duty flexible automotive cable, the lead connects directly to a factory-fitted Grey Anderson SB175 connector and includes an inline 175A mega fuse for additional protection.
This lead is suitable for inverter installations up to a maximum rating of 3000W and is available in different cable lengths and cable sizes to suit your installation.
Designed for Factory-Fitted Grey Anderson SB175 Connections
The lead is designed specifically for HGVs fitted with a Grey Anderson SB175 connector.
The genuine Grey Anderson SB175 connector plugs directly into the truck’s existing Anderson connection, while the ring terminal end connects to the inverter.
Important: if your vehicle does not have a factory-fitted Grey Anderson SB175 connector, this lead will not be suitable.
The Anderson SB175 connector is genderless, meaning compatible connectors simply snap together to make the connection.
Heavy Duty Flexible Cable
Each HGV inverter lead is manufactured using heavy-duty, highly flexible cable designed for automotive and commercial vehicle applications.
Available cable options include:
- 35mm² cable: approximately 240A
- 50mm² cable: approximately 350A
- Voltage applications: 6V, 12V, 24V and 48V
- Maximum inverter rating: 3000W

175A Mega Fuse & Fuse Holder
Each inverter lead is supplied with an inline 175A mega fuse and fuse holder.
The mega fuse is designed to be easily replaceable if required, providing a practical solution for protecting the electrical connection between the vehicle and inverter.
The fuse holder is splash proof but is not waterproof, so this should be considered when choosing its installation position.
Other fuse ratings are available if required. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
Fuse Holder Position
As standard, the mega fuse holder is positioned approximately 6–10 inches from the Anderson connector.
If your installation requires the fuse holder in a different position along the cable, we can accommodate this at no additional charge.

M8 Ring Terminals as Standard
The inverter end of the cable is supplied with M8 (8mm) ring terminals as standard, allowing connection to suitable inverter terminals.
Other ring terminal sizes are available if your inverter requires a different connection.
